The onus of safety on public transport rests with whom? We surveyed over seven thousand women, asking them where they experience vulnerability, and the overwhelming response centered on stations and the vehicles themselves. Driven by apprehension of unwanted advances, many women withdraw, avoid certain locations, or take precautions for self-protection.
