Synopsis

Schoonebeek has long been synonymous with oil extraction. Yet, the sentiment in this Drenthe village is shifting. Proposals to inject wastewater from the extraction process into the ground have met with resistance. While NAM and the ministry seek to reach agreements, their true value remains uncertain. And what becomes of a close-knit community when a part of it turns against a familiar presence?
