Synopsis

The wind snatched his hat, a sudden, cruel theft. He watched it disappear into the distance, a growing knot of worry tightening in his chest. A replacement was needed, and quickly. The thought of his friends' amusement, their inevitable teasing, sent a fresh wave of anxiety through him.
