Synopsis

Sorting through refuse, Grumio discovers a babe abandoned behind the bins and, with a sudden impulse, takes the child home to nurture as his own. Stylax, seizing an opportunity, uses the infant to initiate a courtship with a captivating young wet nurse. Elsewhere, Marcus endeavors to avoid the excruciating ordeal of Cynthia's self-indulgent theatrical performance.
