Synopsis

She was a creature of habit, this Maiku, and she wouldn’t be denied. The girl darted, a flicker of movement against the stone, but the older woman anticipated, a silent presence blocking her path. It happened twice, this fleeting escape and subsequent recapture, yet Maiku held firm.
