Synopsis

Hank Thackery, proprietor of the Pixley House—a direct competitor to the Shady Rest—intended to establish a jitney route connecting Pixley and Hooterville, offering an alternative to the famed Cannonball train. He wagered Joe that he could complete the journey from Pixley to Hooterville more swiftly than the Cannonball itself.
