Synopsis

Following improvements and some organizational changes at the post office, Sam received word from the government that his substation was slated for closure. Uncle Joe immediately mobilized to save the Hooterville post office. Their strategy involved encouraging all residents of the valley to mail themselves something – a demonstration of continued need and demand for the substation’s services.
