Synopsis

Walter O’Connor, now a manager in the major leagues and Kate’s first boyfriend, is arriving at the Shady Rest. Though thrilled by his visit, Kate remains apprehensive, still wondering if he will finally ask her to marry him. His presence, however, prompts Sam to acknowledge feelings he'd kept hidden – a burgeoning affection for Kate herself. Walter does propose, but Kate declines his offer.
