Billie Jo fumed at the Cannonball’s tardiness, convinced it had long passed its prime. Simultaneously, Homer Bedloe, the Hooterville Cannonball's most persistent adversary, was plagued by unsettling nightmares. Seeking relief, his psychiatrist, Dr. Leonard, proposed a peculiar remedy: that he "learn to love" the train. The Cannonball itself had begun experiencing difficulties with sections of damaged track, prompting Kate to alert the C&FW Railroad. Bedloe responded swiftly, promising repairs. U
