Synopsis

Kate faced considerable debt, compounded by six months of missed mortgage payments. Mr. Guerney, the President of Pixley Bank, informed her that a new majority shareholder had taken control. Consequently, she was given just two weeks to settle $138 on her mortgage or face foreclosure. What Kate didn't know was that this new shareholder was Homer Bedloe, who harbored a desire to see her brought low. The girls declared their intention to find part-time work and contribute towards the sum needed. K
