Synopsis

Los Angeles, 1931. Following a disreputable inquiry concerning a celebrated comedian, Perry Mason—a private investigator barely scraping by—and his loyal assistant, Pete Strickland, are engaged by E.B. Jonathan, Perry’s mentor and a respected attorney, to unravel a baffling mystery: the savage abduction of one-year-old Charlie Dodson, whose parents have become the targets of a $100,000 ransom demand.
