Synopsis

Chick Farley, a golf professional of modest skill and even more modest earnings, maintains a precarious existence at the prestigious country club, largely supported by his wife’s wealth. To secure his position, he occasionally resorts to petty blackmail among the club's members. One night, however, Chick uncovers a theft within the pro shop.
