Synopsis

Carleton Gage, a principal benefactor of the local orphanage, was determined to ensure its continued operation. However, he unexpectedly fell into a coma and subsequently departed this world. His nephew, George, harbored a desire to shutter the institution, and was working in secret with Ernest Demming to achieve that end. Joane Proctor, Carleton’s sister-in-law, shared his commitment to the orphanage's welfare, yet her noble intentions were shadowed by the unforeseen death of Demming.
