Synopsis

Perry and Della attended a theatrical performance, eager to see Perry’s friend, actor Steve Brock, portray Paris in *Romeo and Juliet*. During the climactic duel scene between Romeo and Paris, the theatre plunged into darkness. When the lights returned, a gasp swept through the audience; the celebrated leading man, Franz Lachman, who had been playing Romeo, lay dead, a victim of a fatal wound.
