Synopsis

Karl Addison, proprietor of a shop specializing in fine jewelry, receives a diagnosis: a necessary operation that will leave him temporarily blind. Addison, calculating and desperate, begins to devise a plan to rob his own establishment, confident that his blindness will offer an airtight alibi. However, his carefully laid scheme unravels when he is murdered, and the shop's valuable jewels are stolen. James Kincannon calls upon Perry for assistance after being accused of the crime.
