Synopsis

Ann Farwell grieves the rift between her parents. The situation deepens when her father begins an affair with Rita Conover, a woman nearly half his age, known for her manipulative nature. Following Rita’s death, Ann and her mother are consumed by suspicion, each believing the other capable of murder. This creates considerable trouble for Perry, who is tasked with defending the ranch hand accused of the crime.
