Synopsis

Ruth Prescott desired a separation from Walter Prescott, yearning instead for a life with Jimmy MacLaine. A near-fatal experience solidified her conviction that Walter’s opposition to the divorce stemmed not from reluctance, but from a more sinister intent: to end her life. When Walter Prescott was found dead, suspicion immediately fell upon Ruth; the police were certain she had been the one to fire the fatal shot.
