Synopsis

The playwright Ernest Royce was discovered shot, the manner of his death mirroring that of a character from one of his unpublished works. The play explored figures closely modeled on individuals from real life, and centered on the murder of a New York underworld figure that occurred years prior. Perry’s client, Frank Brooks, is accused of Royce's murder, and Perry must locate the missing final act of the play to prove Brooks’ innocence.
