Synopsis

Harry Marlow, a florist by trade, harbored a desire for a stake in Mildred Kimber’s thriving orchid business. His overtures, however, were met with a firm refusal. Driven by this rejection, Marlow devised a plan with Sam Lynk, the owner of a local club. The scheme involved defrauding Mildred's husband, Bob Kimber, of his rightful share in the business through a rigged card game. Tragically, Sam Lynk was discovered dead in his home, and suspicion immediately fell upon Mildred Kimber.
