Synopsis

Donald Briggs, a private investigator known for his lack of scruples, was engaged by Clyde Waters to investigate Marv Adams, the man betrothed to his daughter. Soon after, Briggs was discovered dead in his motel room, and suspicion fell upon Adams. The previous day, the two men had been involved in a heated altercation, providing a readily available motive for the accusation of murder.
