Synopsis

A scheme began to form in Tommy’s mind: to seize dominion over the southern racecourses. Concurrently, he encountered the aristocratic May Carleton, perceiving in her a pathway to advancement. Yet, shadows lengthened. Both Major Campbell and the London gangster Darby Sabini plotted his ruin.
