The show reminded me quite a bit of Barry, which is currently my favorite series on television. It moves at a rapid speed, creating an atmosphere of tension and worry, while also developing the characters well. The storylines often lead to genuinely sad conclusions, alongside moments of both compelling drama and genuine humor. What’s striking about this show's writing is how unusual it is; there’s a certain quirkiness that ultimately enhances the comedy and makes the characters more likable without sacrificing the seriousness or realism of the story—a very impressive feat. The cinematography also stands out, with creative camera angles, deliberate zooms, and extended shots that are particularly effective in conveying the feeling of mounting pressure, anxiety, and stress, allowing you to really understand what’s going on inside the main character's head. The acting is superb; it's clear how weary and disheartened John is by everything happening around him. Each performance conveys a strong sense of who these characters are. I especially appreciate the editing in this show—it's obvious that a great deal of thought went into its construction, particularly with how they manipulate time and sequence events, often leaving you guessing what will happen next. The feeling throughout is one of escalating stakes; if something *can* go wrong, it *will*, and while there are moments of laughter, there are also times when the show becomes deeply upsetting and stressful. It’s a remarkable demonstration of how to balance drama and comedy. There's some excellent action as well. This is truly a unique program that deserves far more attention than it currently receives; I encourage anyone who hasn’t seen it yet to give it a try. P.S. I couldn’t help but notice that John bore a strong resemblance to Alexander Skarsgard, and Lawrence looked like Jermaine Clement—they look remarkably similar to them.
