The storyline felt really forced. The idea—a catastrophic event wiping out most of humanity while a small group of Americans find shelter in an underground city—is initially interesting. However, it doesn't hold up to scrutiny; if the bunker was designed for such a disaster, why wasn’t there more than one? Why weren’t people already living there beforehand? And what’s the purpose of having a president overseeing a population of just 25,000, especially when wealthy individuals are clearly in charge and old systems seem meaningless? I can't believe I finished the first season; it was pure willpower that got me through it. It simply became more nonsensical as time went on.
