Animated shows often get overlooked, but if I had to suggest just one modern animated series for someone who doesn’t usually watch animation, it would be Pantheon. To put my recommendation more precisely, this show is really for people who: 1. Enjoy science fiction and are still thinking about whether we might all be living in a simulation. 2. Appreciate finding little hidden details throughout the story. 3. Are willing to consider deeper thoughts about what the future could hold and its limitless possibilities. There are two seasons; the first one concentrates on action sequences and developing the characters. The second season takes a much more philosophical approach, and you might need some time afterward just to process everything that happened. I really enjoyed it; I’m not sure if I'm prepared for what’s coming, but the subject matter is very fascinating. I genuinely hope whoever reads this review will be open to animation with more mature themes, because Pantheon fits exactly into that category. It’s a science fiction story that feels a bit—or rather, a lot—like *The Matrix*. It's one of those narratives that might leave you questioning what is real by the end of the second season: Do atoms and matter define reality, or as Descartes said, “I think, therefore I am”?
