The Syrian conflict, now in its tenth year, has resulted in the complete or partial destruction of countless schools. Among those ravaged was Iqra School in Aleppo, which was bombed by a fighter jet in 2013. The attack caused immediate fatalities, and many more perished from grievous injuries in the aftermath.
