Synopsis

The beach – a place of sand, sea, and, increasingly, something far less appealing. As the quality of swimming water on British beaches deteriorates, Panorama investigates the hidden discharge pipes that release sewage, tampons, and condoms following heavy rainfall. The program also conducts its own scientific testing, yielding some deeply troubling findings. The report is by Declan Lawn.
