Synopsis

Claire is taken to L’Hôpital des Anges, where physicians strive to preserve both her life and that of her child within her. Meanwhile, King Louis charges Claire with a weighty task: to render judgment upon two men accused of dabbling in forbidden knowledge – one a foe, the other a trusted companion.
