Synopsis

The body recovered from the Thames was confirmed to be that of young John Harmon, destined to inherit a considerable fortune amassed through contracts for dust removal. Bella Wilfer, promised in marriage to him according to the stipulations of old Harmon’s will, observed a period of mourning despite having never known her betrothed.
