The premise of this drama held promise, however, the storyline felt underdeveloped to sustain a full series, despite attempts to flesh it out with additional subplots. This is also why an unnecessary romantic entanglement was introduced that ultimately went nowhere. While the female lead’s actions might seem acceptable for a young character, they became difficult to watch as she aged; her portrayal didn't fit within the story's framework. Observing her character made me strongly suspect the reason behind their separation. The explanation could have worked if handled properly, but instead it felt like an inadequate justification used simply to move the plot forward. Even setting that aside, they provided a rushed and incomplete resolution to the characters’ core issues, filling the remaining time with excessive romantic scenes while neglecting any chance for the drama to explore the emotional depth it initially presented. This is another clear instance of the bait-and-switch approach increasingly common in Korean dramas, and there's no indication that trend will stop anytime soon. Lastly, I noticed some noticeable amateur editing errors throughout the series; at one point, a single scene featured multiple camera angles but with inconsistent color grading, even within close-ups of the same person’s face.
