Synopsis

Victoria Coren hosts a quiz show where sheer knowledge is insufficient; patience and inventive thinking are equally essential for success. In the quarter-finals, three doctoral candidates from Oxford test the strategic minds of their opponents – a team bound by a shared passion for intricate strategy board games. The challenge lies in forging connections between seemingly disparate subjects: maypoles, horse racing, spoken theatre, and mince pies, among others.
