For thirty-three days, Miyamoto Musashi was entrusted with the Oni Gauntlet, accompanied by a chaperone tasked with its careful watch.
The men reached the village, only to find it deserted. As they explored the quiet streets, they discovered a small girl, alone and seemingly without a guardian.
As Sayo guided the men toward Lemon's fortress, she couldn't shake a feeling of unease regarding their route. Something felt amiss with the path they were following.
At the mountain temple, the men were met by three figures concealed behind masks. As Musashi engaged them in combat, Kaizen, Sahei, and Heikuro fought to reach Sayo.
The Yoshioka family's conflict with Musashi and his followers remains unresolved. While Sayo is afflicted with a fever, Sahei departs to seek medicinal herbs in the countryside.
A peculiar fellow named Alfred received Musashi and his companions within the opulent, gold-hued mountain, and then, with polite yet resolute phrasing, requested they accompany Iemon.
Long ago, Kensuke Matsuki recognized a spark of talent in his young student, bestowing upon him the name Iemon and aligning himself with the boy's dark aspirations.
In their flight with Sayo, Sahei encounters Iemon, who pleads and offers what he can to secure his survival. It is then that a third betrayal is revealed.
