The series began strongly, particularly during the trial scenes and related events; however, that felt like an isolated element within the larger story. I would have appreciated seeing more of that kind of focus. While the lighter moments were initially enjoyable, they eventually became repetitive, and the inclusion of three lengthy flashback episodes presented in a solemn manner didn’t fully compensate for this. Even with its relatively brief length, there appeared to be significant discrepancies, as if multiple distinct narratives had been combined into one. There was always a sense that something essential was lacking from the overall structure. I appreciated the initial premise; it suggested greater depth than what ultimately materialized. The characters and their relationships held considerable promise for further exploration. The actors delivered commendable performances. In my opinion, the murder investigation proved to be the least compelling aspect of the series, feeling drawn out before the narrative progressed elsewhere. Just as meaningful development seemed to be emerging, the story concluded, which I found disappointing. Considering how the material was handled across these twelve episodes, a second season seems unlikely.
