This sitcom is genuinely the one that made me tear up the most during viewing. It tackles numerous significant themes with such care and understanding—things like questions of identity, struggles with sadness, and challenges related to alcohol—and it really resonates. The acting is superb; Rita Moreno is wonderful, which isn't surprising, but Justina Machado truly anchors the series for me. Penelope is my favorite character in One Day at a Time.
