Synopsis

A young woman’s body was discovered, burned beyond recognition, within the damp confines of an abandoned basement. A tip from the husband of the deceased's closest friend suggested a Russian man—one who had previously pursued her affections but been rebuffed. Simone constructed a possible sequence of events, implicating the husband and two of his known associates. Meanwhile, Medavoy picked up some extra hours as a bodyguard and enjoyed an unexpected run of good fortune at cards.
