Synopsis

Sipowicz and Simone found themselves investigating the murder of a pregnant woman, a case complicated by the fact that little remained but charred debris – offering scant leads for the detectives to pursue. Simultaneously, Sipowicz’s worry deepened as a close friend, Dan Breen, suffered a severe beating at the hands of his own son, Danny, who lives with a mental disability.
