Synopsis

The emergency room is spiraling out of control, a consequence of recent staff reductions and a surge of patients redirected from another hospital. The strain proves too much for Cruz, who experiences a pulmonary episode, prompting Jackie to take charge. Meanwhile, at home, Grace’s defiance flares; she refuses to attend classes unless Jackie agrees to transfer her to a public school.
