Synopsis

In his youth, Fred Young stalked birds and game with rudimentary tools, conversing only in the Ute and Navajo tongues, seeking healing from a medicine man when ill, and sleeping beneath the open sky. Now, NOVA presents Dr. Frederick Young, a nuclear physicist contributing to the laser fusion project at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory in New Mexico.
