Synopsis

In September of 2024, Hurricane Helene unleashed fourteen inches of rain upon North Carolina, resulting in devastating flash floods and claiming the lives of over one hundred individuals. A pressing question arises: why are such floods becoming increasingly prevalent globally, even in regions situated thousands of feet above sea level?
