Synopsis

Deep within the rain forests of Zaire, in Africa's heartland, reside the Mbuti Pygmies. For generations, capturing the Pygmy way of life on film has proven exceptionally challenging, a feat many have attempted but few have achieved. NOVA offers a rare glimpse into the lives of this elusive people, crafted by an independent filmmaker who earned their trust through extended immersion in their community.
