Synopsis

In the medieval world, knighthood demanded a grave commitment, and for many warriors, their armor represented the very boundary between existence and oblivion. NOVA partnered with a blacksmith and master armorer to undertake the ambitious task of recreating components of an elite suit of armor. We follow their endeavor as they unearth metalworking techniques lost to time, and then subject their newly forged creation to a rigorous trial by fire – a confrontation with a period musket.
