Synopsis

Vilna, Lithuania – once hailed as the "Jerusalem of the North" – stood as a vital hub for Jewish life globally until the Second World War. The conflict brought devastation, with the Nazis murdering approximately 95% of the city's Jewish inhabitants. Today, an international team of archaeologists is carefully excavating the remnants of the Great Synagogue and pursuing the discovery of a clandestine escape tunnel, reportedly dug by Jewish prisoners within a Nazi execution complex.
