Synopsis

In the undulating hills of County Tipperary, Ireland, a peat harvester halts his machinery, alerted by the discovery of a body's remains. He has stopped just in time to reveal a remarkably preserved, headless torso, darkened to a deep brown by the bog. Archaeologists identify the corpse as one of Europe’s rare bog bodies – prehistoric individuals deliberately deposited in marshes, their remains often bearing forensic evidence suggestive of execution or ritual sacrifice. Analysis will eventually
