Synopsis

NOVA examines the varied ways individuals with hearing loss have bridged the gap to a hearing world, finding insight through encounters with Kitty O'Neil, a record-breaking speed car racer; Frances Parsons, a champion of rights for the deaf community; and the employees of Silent Industries, a Los Angeles factory established by a deaf man.
