Synopsis

In the year 2000, Tom Hart Dyke spent nine months held by guerrillas who took him while he was gathering orchids in the Colombian rainforest. Now, he finds himself in a similar situation, working once more in the orchid-rich and politically volatile region of western Irian Jaya, the western half of the island of New Guinea.
