Synopsis

Nova examines both perspectives in the long-standing debate surrounding the Tasaday people. Their discovery in the Philippines in 1971, as an isolated community of cave dwellers, initially sparked excitement, with many viewing them as a living link to the Stone Age. Today, however, a growing number of anthropologists dismiss this notion, labeling the Tasaday as a fabrication.
