Synopsis

The documentary recounts the remarkable story of an ordinary systems administrator who unexpectedly uncovered a clandestine KGB operation. Clifford Stoll, in a pioneering feat of digital investigation, traced the movements of Markus Hess, a Soviet hacker, to a University of California computer by identifying an anomaly in its records.
