For generations, the Kazakh horsemen of China steadfastly maintained their ancestral traditions, resisting assimilation by both Chinese and Russian cultures. Yet, this nomadic people have now incorporated communism into their daily existence. This report examines the historical Kazakh way of life and explores how the Chinese Cultural Revolution has reshaped their customs.
