Synopsis

Since its identification four years ago, Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, or AIDS, has claimed the lives of approximately two thousand individuals. In this program, NOVA explores the ways in which contemporary science is gradually illuminating the enigma of this perplexing illness.
