Nikita proposed a mission: eliminate the President of Chad while he was in Paris. Alex refused to participate. Distrusting Nikita's secrecy, reminiscent of Percy's past actions, Alex sought to uncover information on Danforth, hoping to leverage it should the situation escalate with the government. He enlisted Birkoff’s help. Their investigation revealed a secret of such magnitude it threatened the very existence of Division.
