This television series is easily my top pick. The way they’ve handled character growth alongside the action is really well done. The fight sequences are also spectacular. Maggie Q continues to be fantastic; I recall seeing her in "Naked Weapon." Even now, at 24, that movie sticks with me clearly. It's a genuinely overlooked show and truly deserves recognition. One thing that bothers me about Nikita is their habit of casting the same actors in multiple roles throughout the series. The actor who sedated the reporter in episode three also appeared as Mr. Zoman’s bodyguard. He had several other parts too. Similarly, the agent who lost his key card to Alex in season one, episode eleven, was given numerous different assignments. Liza's mother even played separate characters in at least two episodes—there are many more instances like this. I have watched Nikita with my family and friends a good 6 or 7 times now, and even people who pay close attention didn’t notice these repeated faces until I pointed them out. It isn’t immediately obvious on the first viewing.
